Every NPC in the game pulls from a global drop pool. That means anything can technically drop from anything. Early-game monsters can roll high-tier gear, and high-level monsters can just as easily give you junk. The drop system is intentionally unpredictable.
Death is where the Nuzlocke rules come in. When you die:
- Your inventory is dropped to the ground
- Your worn equipment is dropped to the ground
- Your bank is dropped to the ground
- One random stat is permanently reduced by half
There’s no item protection system and no safety net for rebuilding. If you AFK in the wrong place or make a bad call, you can lose weeks of progress. That risk is the point.
Rare items, including holiday items and high-tier gear, exist in the global drop pool at extremely low rates. They’re obtainable — just not reliably farmable.
