Veridia - Public Beta

Veridia has been worked on over the last few months and is now moving into public beta. We are ready to get players in and see how progression holds up, find the rough edges, and make adjustments / decisions and content additions before full release.

Important Note: a wipe is possible before full release. We do not want to hide that fact. If a wipe happens, beta testers will receive release rewards/recognition. The exact rewards are still TBD, because we want them to be fair without damaging the launch. Any donations during the beta period WILL carry over.

How To Play

To register an account go to https://veridiarsps.com/register, our website and client are linked together. This will also give you easier access to the webclient in the future. You are able to link accounts together to share ingame credits (not rank).

What Veridia Is

Veridia is an actively developed OSRS-based semi-custom private server built around long-term progression, PvM, skilling, economy health, and community input.

The aim is not to dump every weird custom idea into the game, but things that would make sense in actual OSRS. We want progression to have reasons behind it, updates to be visible, small groups to be able to play major content, and player feedback to matter and shape the game.

  • Long-term progression: skill prestige, titles, hiscores, account modes, Group Ironman, daily PvM goals, and gold/resource sinks that give players something to work toward.
  • Fufilling PvM that doesnt force you to group: Boss Contracts, familiar bosses, collection logs, and raid scaling so you can solo/duo raids easier (puzzle rooms have also been removed).
  • Make quests relevant again: Future content will be locked behind questing that may also require prestige levels.
  • Custom skilling minigames: We aim to add custom skilling minigames to add more engaging content for skills people dont like training. At the moment we've added `The Arcanum`, a custom runecrafting minigame thats more engaging that traditional runecrafting methods.
  • Useful Construction: Construction is a skill that is not commonly worthwhile training in most private servers. We aim to change that and make it a core / useful skill once again. Right now our goal is making it behave much more closely to OSRS which we have been working on.
  • Webclient / Mobile: we have been working on a webclient that is still closed access that we hope to let players access in the next couple months.
  • Visible development: update logs, roadmap items and whats being worked on is all visible.
  • Community direction: feedback and future updates will be shaped through player polling.

Prestige Skills

Prestige is one of the main long-term systems in Veridia. Once a skill reaches 99, you can prestige it through the Prestige Master at home. That resets the skill back to level 1, increases that skill's prestige rank, and gives that skill a lower XP rate for the next run. The starting exp rate is 50x (skilling and combat)

Our end goal is adding content that will be locked behind prestige.

  • Each skill can be prestiged separately after 99.
  • Prestiging costs GP.
  • Higher prestige ranks slow down XP for that skill, so later prestiges take more commitment.
  • Prestige ranks are tracked on hiscores.
  • Skills unlock perks as they climb prestige ranks. Combat skills get things like accuracy, max hit, prayer, ruun/ammo saving, or survivability bonuses. Gathering and production skills get things like better yields, material saving, auto-banking, or other quality-of-life bonuses.
  • Combat Prestige bonuses are disabled in PvP areas.

Boss Contracts

Boss Contracts are our daily PvM loop. Every day, players get three contracts: one easy, one medium, and one hard. Each contract gives you a boss target and a kill count. Finish it, and you earn Hunter Marks.

The idea is to give players a reason to kill different bosses without forcing everyone into one best money-maker forever.

Small Developer Note

I will be also actively playing (on ironman) throughout the server span, I'm a fan of playing things I create so I hope to meet / chat to you all in game. This is a passion project of mine that I have been working on the last few months that I hope people enjoy. I have a lot planned and am excited to see how everything progresses.
