Obsidian

Economy OSRS built on the familiar Gielinor world, where Slayer tasks, bosses and raids carry the grind. The Obsidian Forge takes drops like Sigils, Cores and Catalysts and turns them into socketed gear and upgrades, so whips, Barrows, Bandos and godswords stay worth using. Physical perk tomes unlock effects to equip, and saved loadouts cover melee, ranged, magic, Slayer, bossing or skilling.

TL;DR

OSRS-focused economy and PvM server preserving Gielinor. Progress through Slayer, bosses and raids, then deepen familiar gear with Forge upgrades, sockets, physical perk tomes and build-defining loadouts.

Obsidian is an OSRS-focused economy and PvM server built around the familiar Gielinor world. Normal RuneScape progression remains the foundation: train every skill, take Slayer assignments, fight classic monsters and bosses, run minigames and raids, earn real drops, and build your bank through a player-driven journey.
The Obsidian progression layer adds long-term goals without replacing the gear you already know. Monsters can drop physical Sigils, Cores, Catalysts and Perk Essence. Bring those materials to the Obsidian Forge to craft specific perk tomes, socket equipment and prepare advanced upgrades. The Upgrade Altar clearly previews each named effect, cost and result before you commit. Whips, Barrows gear, Bandos, godswords and raid weapons stay relevant because the system enhances familiar equipment instead of making it disposable.
Builds matter. Unlock perks from usable tomes, equip a limited selection, and save loadouts for melee, ranged, magic, Slayer, bossing, raids or skilling. Achievements, level-scaled daily tasks, contracts, Boss Mastery and dry protection provide useful goals at every account stage. New players begin at the Varrock Grand Exchange home with organized shops, banking, Slayer masters, restoration, travel and progression services nearby.
Obsidian uses a custom RuneLite client, website-linked accounts, public hiscores and a server-aware Sage that can answer questions about content and progression. The goal is a polished Old School experience with meaningful choices, durable progression and room for both solo players and groups.
