Are RSPS Reviews Fake? A Behind-the-Scenes Look at our Review System

If you’ve spent any time in the RSPS scene, you’ve probably seen them: toplists filled with servers that mention false player counts. That is why we at RULOCUS have introduced our Review System. Something new, something unique, to get the player’s opinions to the public. However, some people have asked us whether the reviews on our system are real. After all, you can’t easily find the place to leave a review for a server.

The short answer? Yes, they are 100% real. But the way we get and process them is a bit different than, for example, an online store would do. Here is exactly how the RULOCUS review system works and why we do it this way.

1. No “First-Timer” Reviews

We’ve all seen it: someone logs into a server for 30 seconds, gets a “Free Gift” for voting, and leaves a 5-star review. That is not a real review.

At RULOCUS, we don’t even ask you for a review the first time you vote. We only ask players who have been playing a server for at least 24 hours. Why? Because you can’t tell us if the combat is “smooth” or if the “GP earning is fair” if you have only just started out.

2. The “Anti-Trash” Voting Process

We ask our questions while players are in the process of voting for a server. This ensures that every review comes from a legit player who is actually logged in and playing. This stops “review bombing” from competing servers who just want to fill a rival’s page with trash.

3. Is It Real, or AI?

Sometimes we get asked if we fake “rewrite” reviews. The answer is yes and no.

  • Translation: We have players from all over the world. If Antonio from Spain leaves an awesome review in Spanish, we use AI models to translate it into English so everyone can read it.
  • Grammar & Clarity: If a review is written in a hurry and is extremely (!) hard to understand, we use the system to fix the grammar a tiny bit.
  • Spam and ads: If a review contains content that is considered obvious spam or advertisement (e.g. a staff member writing a clearly biased review, links to other websites, etc), our AI model completely filters it.

But here is the rule: 99.9% of the new reviews published daily are raw. We never change the opinion or the rating of the player. If they say a server is laggy, we keep it laggy. After all, that is important information for you to know. If they say a staff member is rude, we keep it rude.

Our Goal: To build the first RSPS toplist where you can actually trust the data. We aren’t just a list of links; we are a performance audit powered by real players.
