🔄 A small change. A big step.
RuneLocus is now RuLocus.
Same service, shorter name. A name that’s easier, cleaner – and most importantly: one that works for everyone (even if we still need a moment to get used to it ourselves).
This might seem like a small tweak, but we know for many of you it’s more than that. After all, some of you have been around since the very beginning. That’s why we want to take a moment to explain what’s happening – and why.
✅ What’s changing?
Technically, not much – for now.
You’ll find the same features and the same server list, just under a slightly different name and domain: RuLocus.com.
As for future changes… we’ll tell you when the time is right.
This is probably already enough to take in for one day 😉
The old domain will continue to redirect, but we strongly recommend all server owners to update their callback URLs to use https://www.rulocus.com directly.
As we mentioned in previous updates, we can’t guarantee old links will work forever.
So please: take a moment, delete 2 letters, and future-proof your callback connection.
🧭 Why the change?
Let’s be honest – this change didn’t come out of nowhere.
We’ve been exploring a rebrand for a while now, especially as we’ve looked at ways to broaden our scope and modernize the platform.
But timing is everything.
With recent shifts in the scene – and some behind-the-scenes changes on our end – we felt it was time to go with a name that’s more universal, and… let’s just say, one that everyone can get behind.
🤫 Why didn’t you announce this earlier?
Simple: because change is hard.
And if there’s one thing we’ve learned in 18 years of running this website, it’s that people don’t like change – even when it’s for the better.
We figured the smoothest way to make this shift was just to… make it. No long build-up. No back-and-forths. Just clean execution.
❓ Should I be worried?
Not at all. We’re not going anywhere – just continuing under a new, more universal name.
Same commitment, same RSPS list, same focus.
💡 Will this affect anything?
Only one thing: your brain might take a few days to process the tiny change 😉
Everything else is taken care of.
